Honors for Success Come to Local Small Business
Focus is on affordable, home and business computer support –
Kansas City, MO – Small business and in-home information technology service company KC Computer Support and its founder Tom Noon of Clay County has been recognized as a Small Business Success in a recent proclamation by the Office of the Mayor of Kansas City.
The honor was presented to Noon and his staff at a January 13 ceremony at City Hall by Mayor Mark Funkhouser.
Noon founded the company in 2008 as a response to what he saw as a limited number of affordable services available to small and home-based businesses.
“My experience was that most I.T. service companies in Kansas City at the time were designed for the needs of larger companies, which isn’t practical or cost effective for small businesses,” Noon said. “Our approach is to form a personal one-on-one relationship with our clients and use products that are affordable yet effective for the small business market.”
KC Computer Support specializes technology services for the home, home office and small businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
In addition to the recognition from the Kansas City Mayor’s office, KC Computer Support received a 2010 Angie’s List Super Service Award based on the high quality of customer service reported by those who use Angie’s List as a resource. About five percent of companies on Angie’s List received the honor.
KC Computer Support employs eight people, 5 of which are certified as a Microsoft Small Business Specialist. The company’s service area encompasses 11 counties and extends from St. Joseph to Spring Hill, Kansas, and from Blue Springs to Leavenworth.
Since its founding in 2008, KC Computer Support has sponsored the RE/MAX Kickin’ for Kids fundraiser to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and the End of the Road Motorcycle Rally in Platte City, fundraiser to benefit the Boys Hope Girls Hope Foundation.
